Which reciprocating saw blade should I use?
Use bi-metal blades with 10-14 TPI for metal and nail-embedded wood, and coarse 5-6 TPI blades for fast cuts in clean wood and pruning.

How to choose a cordless power tool
A cordless tool is really two purchases: the tool and the battery system behind it. Pick a voltage class that covers the jobs you do most. 12V tools are light and ideal for cabinets, furniture and tight spaces. 18V/20V tools are the all-rounders for decks, framing, masonry anchors and metal.
Brushless motors run cooler and get more work out of each charge than brushed motors, so they are worth paying for on tools you use every week. Look at torque for drivers, no-load speed for grinders and saws, and impact energy for rotary hammers.
Impact driver or drill?
Impact drivers sink long screws and lag bolts with little wrist strain. Drills win for clean holes, hole saws and mixing.

Common questions
Is 18V the same as 20V?
Yes. 18V is the nominal voltage and 20V is the peak reading of a fully charged pack. The tools are the same class.
What does brushless mean?
The motor is controlled electronically instead of by carbon brushes. It runs cooler, lasts longer and gives more runtime per charge.
